A dynamic force at third base for the Blazers, Tiffany Ansley arrived at Belhaven in 2007 from Miami, Florida (Westminster Christian High School) and quickly made her mark on the field. During her freshman season she earned Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) Freshman of the Year honors, laying the foundation for a decorated collegiate career.
Â
By her junior year she was firmly among the NAIA's elite-earning All-America Honorable Mention status in 2009 and being named an NFCA All-East Region selection in both 2009 and 2010.
Â
In that same standout 2009 season, Ansley posted a .442 batting average, compiled 76 hits and 15 doubles-each ranking among the top of the GCAC. Her performance also earned her a spot on the Puerto Rican National Softball Team roster for the VII Pan American Softball Championship.
Â
Across her tenure at Belhaven, Tiffany helped anchor the Blazers in numerous NAIA postseason appearances and was a key contributor to the 2010 GCAC Regular Season Championship team. Â Beyond the numbers, her consistency, leadership and performance established her among the most prolific hitters in the program's history-ending her career ranked in the top five for nearly every major offensive category and in games played.
Â
Following her collegiate success, Ansley continued her involvement in athletics: she furthered her education, obtaining a master's degree in Sports Administration from Belhaven, and has since held leadership roles in the fast-pitch softball community-serving as Director of Operations for DFW Fastpitch and making an impact at other levels of the sport.
Â
Tiffany Ansley exemplified the spirit of competition, service and excellence that defines the Blazer tradition. It is with great pride that we induct her into the Belhaven Athletics Hall of Fame, honoring her outstanding career on the field and her ongoing contributions to the sport.
