Larkin Braxton gave Belhaven four seasons of dependable pitching and saved some of his best work for his final two years. The left-hander won 21 games during that stretch and helped the Blazers capture consecutive Gulf Coast Athletic Conference championships.

Braxton has been selected to the 2026 Belhaven Athletics Hall of Fame class after a career that still places him among the program's pitching leaders.

He recorded 26 wins, 273 strikeouts and five shutouts from 2004-07. His wins and strikeouts rank second in Belhaven history, and his five shutouts are tied for second.

Braxton earned All-GCAC honors in 2006 and finished the season with 12 victories. That total remains tied for third on Belhaven's single-season wins list.

The Blazers finished 41-21 under head coach Hill Denson that year and won the GCAC championship. Belhaven also reached the NAIA Tournament during its first 40-win season in program history.

Braxton followed with another strong season in 2007. He won nine games and struck out 107 batters in 117 innings. He remains one of just five Belhaven pitchers to record more than 100 strikeouts in a season.

His workload was equally impressive. Braxton made 16 starts, threw seven complete games and recorded two shutouts during his senior season. His 117 innings rank second on the program's single-season list.

Belhaven won three conference championships during Braxton's four seasons, including a title in his first year in 2004. The program won 85 games across his final two seasons. He appeared in 75 games, tied for second in school history, and completed 14 games, fourth on the career list.

His name remains near the top of Belhaven's record book nearly two decades after his final season.
