Hall of Fame
Larry Waltman was part of the middle-infield of some of Belhaven's greatest ball clubs, with a 70-24 record in four seasons under Coach James McLeod.
Waltman was the slick-fielding shortstop on those great teams. In 1969 Belhaven posted a best ever 19 wins at the time. The next year was even better with a 26-7 record.
Belhaven would not win this many games again until 1979.
He was co-captain of the Blazers, and hit a strong .337. He doubled in basketball, and was captain of the squad in 1970.
At the time of induction, Waltman resided in Jackson and was an executive with Waltman Insurance Group.
