A standout two-sport performer for the Blazers, Lance St. Amant distinguished himself in both men's basketball and men's tennis during his time at Belhaven University. On the hardwood, he orchestrated the offense as the program's all-time leader in assists with 449. He also ranks in the top five in program history in steals with 159, underscoring his two-way impact and defensive prowess. Â
On the tennis court, St. Amant formed part of an era of dominance for the Blazers' men's tennis program. He earned All-Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) singles and doubles honors in three consecutive seasons (1989-91) and helped anchor four GCAC championship teams. Â
Beyond his measurable statistics, Lance's dual-sport career speaks to his versatility, work ethic and ability to lead across different athletic arenas. His contributions helped elevate Belhaven's standing in both basketball and tennis during a key period of the program's history.
Following his collegiate career, St. Amant has carried his leadership into the professional realm. According to his LinkedIn profile, he serves as a Diabetes Care Specialist with Novo Nordisk in Ocean Springs, MS. His involvement in athletics as a student-athlete and now in a professional healthcare-focused role reflects the full-circle commitment to teamwork, discipline and service.
