“Last season when Dax had to get surgery for his bone spurs it took some life out of our team. At the time we had counted on him for a big portion of our offense from the guard spot and we had a difficult time adjusting. His shoes were hard to fill. By the time he was finished with his sophomore year he was playing well and had a lot of confidence coming into last season. He has responded well to sitting out for a year. He came back to school in great shape once again and was ready to work.

Dax takes a lot of pride in his game and being at his best. He works so hard each day and has worked so hard in the past it is easy to see why he has such good skills on the floor. He continues to work daily on getting better and also is trying to step up and be a leader.

Dax understands the meaning of hard work and knows there is a price to pay to be good at something. I am confident that whatever field Dax chooses to pursue he will be successful because of his strong will. God’s grace and Dax’s will have been able to push him through some very tough times.

Another great quality Dax has is that he does not want to let anyone down. He does not want to let his family, friends or teammates down in any way. I think that is one of the things I respect about Dax the most is his loyalty to others and his hunger to be good at whatever he does.”
