GREENSBORO, NC - Belhaven sprinter
Kelton Kemp has qualified for the finals of the 110m hurdles at the NCAA Championships after competing in the preliminary races on Friday.
In the prelims, Kemp finished with the second fastest time in his heat and one of the top eight times to qualify to Saturday's finals. Kemp posted a personal best time of 14.32 seconds in the 110m hurdles, besting the conference winning time of 14.56 seconds at the ASC Championships.
On Thursday, Kemp also competed in 200m on Thursday and finished 12th overall in the prelims with a time of 21.72 seconds.
Kemp is the first Blazer to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships and lone Blazer at the competition this year. The Hazlehurst, MS native will compete in the 110m hurdles on Saturday at 12:00 PM.
