JACKSON, Miss. - Belhaven pitcher Tyler Wolfe has been named the C Spire Athlete of the Week, following his performance against McMurry University. 

Wolfe tossed a nine-inning, complete game shutout versus the Warhawks, leading the Blazers to a 3-0 series finale victory. The junior from Houston, Texas surrendered just seven hits and one walk while striking out seven batters. 

For the season, Wolfe has yet to allow a run over 10.2 innings pitched in two appearances on the mound. 

The Blazers took two of three games from McMurry, and after a loss to local rival Millsaps Tuesday, own a 4-2 record. The Green and Gold will be back in action this weekend, hosting American Southwest Conference foe Hardin-Simmons. The three-game set begins with a doubleheader Friday beginning at 4 p.m., followed by the series finale Saturday at 1 p.m.
