This week's C Spire Athlete of the Week is Emily Todd of the softball team. Todd, a junior shortstop from Clinton, Miss, went 9 for 12 at the plate in four games which equated to a .750 batting average and slugging percentage of 1.250. Todd had three doubles, a home run, and five runs batted in. Her home run and three RBI came in a 9-3 upset victory over William Carey University.
On the season, Todd is hitting at a .376 clip with eight doubles, three home runs, and a team high 34 runs batted in. She has helped guide the Blazers to a 32-9 overall record and 14-6 mark in the SSAC so far this season. Todd was also named the SSAC Player of the Week.
