DICKSON, Tenn. - The Belhaven Men's Golf team opened the 2026-27 season with a fourth-place finish at the Greystone Fall Invitational this weekend.
The Blazers carded rounds of 303 (+15) and 315 (+27) at the par-72 Greystone Golf Club, finishing the 36-hole tournament with a team score of 618 (+42).
Junior
Drew Groscost led Belhaven in his debut, posting consecutive rounds of 74 to finish tied for ninth at 148 (+4). The Jones College transfer led the 24-player field with 27 pars while adding three birdies.
Blake Broussard and
Jordyn Raymond both delivered top-12 finishes while competing as individuals. Broussard opened with a 74 before shooting 77 in the second round to place 11th at 151 (+7). The Southwest Mississippi Community College transfer made five birdies and played the par 5s at 2-under.
Raymond finished one stroke behind Broussard, recording rounds of 75 and 77 to tie for 12th at 152 (+8). The senior collected 24 pars, tied for the third-highest total in the field.
John McIntosh tied for 18th following rounds of 75 and 81 for a 156 (+12). McIntosh made a team-high seven birdies and joined Broussard at 2-under on the par 5s.
Freshman
Parker Church shot 78 and 79 in his collegiate debut, finishing 20th with a two-round total of 157 (+13).
Levi Turner and
Schaefer Doane each tied for 22nd at 159 (+15) after matching rounds of 77 and 82. Turner recorded one of only three eagles in the tournament and added four birdies.
Whitt Welch rounded out the Belhaven lineup in 24th, carding rounds of 79 and 81 to finish at 160 (+16).
Oglethorpe's B team won the four-team tournament with a score of 578 (+2). Huntingdon's B team placed second at 588 (+12), followed by Sewanee's B team at 602 (+26).
Belhaven returns to competition later this month on September, 27th at the Rhodes Fall Invitational in Tunica, Mississippi.
