JACKSON, Miss. - Matthew Dial of the Belhaven Football team and Abby Jordan of the Belhaven Women's Soccer team have been named C Spire Athletes of the Week following standout performances for the Blazers from last Wednesday through this past Tuesday.

Dial, a freshman from Ocala, Florida, made his first career collegiate start, throwing four touchdown passes, the most by a Blazer in his first career start since 2008, in a 35-21 win over NC Wesleyan last Friday.

Jordan, a junior from Daphne, Ala., recorded the Blazers lone goal in a 1-0 win vs. Asbury last weekend on a lengthy 30-yard free kick, for her second goal of the season.

Dial and the Blazers Football team head northeast to take on Greensboro at 12:00 PM on Saturday. Jordan and the Blazers Women's Soccer team host Millsaps on Friday at 6:00 PM for Senior Day.
