ATLANTA, Ga. - Belhaven Women's Soccer forward Alexis Whiting has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week as announced by the conference on Tuesday.

Whiting, a freshman from Mandeville, La. recorded her first career hat trick against Tougaloo on Sept. 16 in just her third career match. She is one of just two players in the conference to record a hat trick this season and second in the conference with four goals. She joins teammates Lauren Snell and Kaci Craft as the tenth player in Blazer history to record three goals in a single game.

Whiting and the Blazers continue conference play with an away match at Huntingdon on Wednesday, Sept. 24. Kickoff is set for 6:00 PM.
