JACKSON - Cami Davis of the Belhaven Volleyball team and Wesley Bloodworth of the Belhaven Men's Soccer team have been named the C Spire Athletes of the week following their strong performances in competition for the Blazers this past week.

Davis was tenacious for the Blazers in their four matches last week. She recorded 12 kills on a .461 hitting percentage while also adding a team-best 11 blocks in that span. In the team's first home matches of the season, Davis had a .727 hitting percentage (8-for-11) and a season-best four blocks vs. McMurry.

Bloodworth was a strong contributor to the attack for the men's soccer team, scoring goals in two of their three games this week. He leads the team overall with four goals and nine points.

Davis and her team are set to host a doubleheader vs. LaGrange at 12:00 PM and LeTourneau at 4:00 PM on Saturday.

Bloodworth and the team host Lyon on Friday for the last game of a three-game homestand. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
