ATLANTA, Ga. -
Kimona Haynes of the Belhaven Track & Field program has swept the major CCS Women's Track awards as announced by the league on Friday.
Haynes was named the Women's Track Athlete of the Meet and Overall Women's Athlete of the Meet at the CCS Track & Field Championships before being named the CCS Women's Track & Field Overall Athlete of the Year on Friday.
Haynes had a dominant year for the Belhaven program in both the regular season and conference championships. Haynes pulled in five CCS event championships as she took the top spot in the 100 Meters, 200 Meters and 400 Meters as well as being a part of the Blazers' conference-winning 4 x 100 and 4 x 400 relay teams.
Over the course of the season, Haynes posted the top times in the 100 Meters and 200 Meters for the CCS and holds the second best time of the season in the 400 Meters. Haynes also racked up six podium finishes throughout the outdoor season in the build-up to the CCS Championships including taking top spot in the 100 Meters at the Belhaven Twilight Meet.
