BIRMINGHAM– The Belhaven Track & Field team delivered strong performances at the Samford Bulldog Open, highlighted by multiple personal records and top finishes across various events.
Women's Top Performances
- Ashaunti Barnes – 9th in 400 Meters with a time of 57.48 seconds, marking a Division III Top 30 performance this season
- Kimona Haynes - 10th in 400 Meters with a time of 57.82 seconds
- Jakia Joiner – 3rd in Triple Jump with a mark of 11.20 meters, setting a new personal best and ranking #45 in Division III this season
- Natalie Black – 4th in Triple Jump, setting a personal best with a mark of 10.69 meters
- JoAnna Cornette - 11th in 1 Mile at 6:00.08
- Ashley Davidson – 13th in 1 Mile, running a personal best of 6:00.50
Men's Top Performances
- Leeson Taylor – 17th in 400 Meters with a personal best time of 52.21 seconds
- Julius Phillips – Set two PRs, clocking 23.22 seconds in the 200 Meters and 53.82 seconds in the 400 Meters
- Makaleb Crowley – 8th in Triple Jump, leaping 12.04 meters
- Jonah Moore – 18th in Long Jump, recording a mark of 5.78 meters
- Drew Duckworth - 24th in Men's 800 Meters with a time of 2:07.92
The Belhaven Track & Field program returns to action on March 1st when they compete in the Mississippi College Spring Classic in Clinton.
