Three Blazers Earn USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

JACKSON, Miss. - The postseason honors continued to roll in for the Belhaven track & field programs on Thursday as six Blazers earned 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field All-Region recognition from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).

Belhaven was represented by three student-athletes across six events, highlighted by senior standouts Neal Terry and Kimona Haynes, who each collected multiple All-Region honors after record-setting outdoor campaigns.

Terry earned All-Region recognition in both the long jump and triple jump after putting together one of the top seasons in Division III. The senior captured CCS titles in both events at the 2026 CCS Championships and was named the CCS Field Athlete of the Meet for the third consecutive season.

In the long jump, Terry posted a conference-record mark of 7.31m (23' 11.75") earlier this season at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet, breaking his own CCS record of 7.30m that he previously set in 2024. The mark ranked among the top jumps in NCAA Division III this season. He later added another conference title with a leap of 7.19m at the CCS Championships.

Terry also rewrote the CCS record books in the triple jump at the conference championships, recording a mark of 15.11m (49' 7"), which ranked third in NCAA Division III this season at the time. The jump secured another conference title and helped cement his third straight CCS Field Athlete of the Meet honor. Terry also leaves the conference as the all-time leader in career First Team All-Conference selections with nine.

Freshman Kenneth Mills picked up All-Region honors in the high jump following a breakout rookie campaign for the Blazers. Mills cleared 2.00m (6' 6.75") at the Lee Last Chance Meet earlier this month, one of the top marks in the CCS this season. He also finished fourth in the high jump at the CCS Championships and became one of Belhaven's top field contributors throughout the outdoor season.

On the women's side, Haynes earned All-Region honors in the 100m, 200m and 400m after another dominant year on the track.

The senior capped her outdoor season by qualifying for the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the 400m, where she advanced to the national final after running a 55.40 in the prelims.

Haynes posted the CCS-leading times this season in all three sprint events. She ran a personal-best 12.04 in the 100m at the Southern Miss Invitational, a 24.26 in the 200m at the Belhaven Invitational and a 54.80 in the 400m at the CCS Championships. Her 54.80 mark in the 400m set a new personal record and helped her secure CCS Athlete of the Year honors for the second consecutive season.

Haynes closed her career as one of the most decorated athletes in conference history, setting CCS records for both career First Team All-Conference selections (nine) and overall all-conference honors (15).
