LA CROSSE, Wis. - Two of the most accomplished athletes in Belhaven track & field history closed out their collegiate careers on Saturday as Neal Terry and Kimona Haynes each earned All-America honors at the 2026 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
Terry delivered one of the top performances in program history in the men's triple jump, finishing third nationally with a school-record mark of 15.36m. The senior surpassed his own previous program best of 15.11m, which he set earlier this season while winning the CCS Championship and breaking the conference record.
After opening with a jump of 14.65m, Terry fouled on his second attempt before landing his record-setting leap on his third jump to move into third place entering finals. The mark held through the remainder of the competition as Terry secured First Team All-America honors to cap an outstanding senior season.
The jump also marked the second time this outdoor season Terry eclipsed the 50-meter barrier in the triple jump.
Terry closed his career as one of the most decorated field athletes in CCS history. Along with his three straight CCS Field Athlete of the Meet honors, he leaves the conference holding the all-time record for career First Team All-Conference selections with nine. Earlier this spring, he also broke his own CCS long jump record with a mark of 7.31m at the Rhodes 7-Way Meet before winning both the long jump and triple jump titles at the CCS Championships.
Haynes wrapped up her Belhaven career later in the afternoon in the women's 400m final, finishing ninth nationally with a time of 55.84.
The senior qualified for Saturday's final race after running a 55.40 in Friday's prelims, earning the eighth and final qualifying spot. Haynes entered the weekend as one of the top sprinters in the South Region after another record-breaking outdoor campaign.
Earlier this season, Haynes was named the CCS Women's Track Athlete of the Year for the second consecutive season after posting conference-leading times in the 100m, 200m and 400m. Her personal-best 54.80 at the CCS Championships set the tone for her postseason run and remained the top mark in the conference this year.
Haynes also posted a 12.04 in the 100m at the Southern Miss Invitational and a 24.26 in the 200m at the Belhaven Invitational, both personal records and CCS-leading times during the outdoor season.
She finishes her career as one of the most decorated athletes in conference history, owning the CCS records for both career First Team All-Conference selections (nine) and total all-conference honors (15).
