ATLANTA, Ga. - For the second consecutive season, Belhaven senior goalie
Danny Bahena has been named the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Goalkeeper of the Year, as announced by the league office on Wednesday.
Bahena, a senior from Houston, Texas, once again proved to be one of the toughest goalkeepers in the conference, anchoring a Belhaven defense that ranked among the CCS leaders throughout the 2025 campaign. Bahena led the conference with a 1.19 goals-against average, allowing just 19 goals over 16 matches while posting a league-best five clean sheets this season.
A model of consistency between the posts, Bahena's honor marks the third straight year a Blazer has earned the conference's top goalkeeping distinction, following Bahena's own 2024 recognition and Max Rudolph in 2023.
The Blazers turn their attention to the CCS Tournament where they host No. 6 seed Huntingdon at the Bowl tonight in the quarterfinals. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM.
