ATLANTA - Bailey Loomis of the Belhaven Men's Cross Country team was named the Collegiate Conference of the South Rookie Runner of the Week as announced by the league on Monday for his performance in the Rhodes Invitational.

Loomis turned in a time of 30:13.60 in the 8K Race hosted by Rhodes College over the weekend, finishing just a few spots off Theodore McCarty who paced the Blazers at the meet. The freshman recorded a strong performance in just the second race of his Belhaven career. 

Loomis and the Blazers return to action on October 5th as they host the Belhaven Invitational at Choctaw Trails in Clinton, Mississippi.
