MEMPHIS - The Belhaven Cross Country team headed to Memphis, Tennesse on Saturday to compete in the Rhodes Invitational and saw multiple Blazers turn in strong performances on the day.
For the Belhaven Women, first-year runner
JoAnna Cornette was once again the Blazers' top performer as she finished with the top time for the Green and Gold of 28:32.70 in the 6000 Meter race.
Ashley Davidson turned in a strong showing as well for the Blazers with a time of 29:25.60 in the run.
For the Blazers' Men, reigning CCS Runner of the Week
Theodore McCarty led the way for the Blazers as he posted a time of 29:49.50 in the 8000 Meter run. McCarty was followed closely by
Bailey Loomis with the freshman finishing with a time of 30:13.60 overall.
Belhaven will be back in action on October 5th as they host the Belhaven Invitational which is set to be hosted at Choctaw Trails. The meet in Clinton is set to start at 8:30 AM.   Â
