SHREVEPORT, La. - The Belhaven Golf team wrapped up their opening round and first day at the Hal Sutton Invitational late on Monday as they continue their spring portion of their 2023-2024 campaign.
The Blazers sit 9th overall after the opening day, featuring a team comprised of young players who are playing some of the first rounds in their Belhaven career.
Preston Hood leads the way for Belhaven with regards to counting scores, finishing the opening round with an 82 (+10) and sitting 25th overall.
Jordyn Raymond sits behind Hood with an opening round 87 (+15) while
Paxton Fishburne turned in a first round 90 (+18).
Wyatt Carter rounded out the group of counting scores in the first round with 96 (+24) on the day.
Ashton Anderson was the low individual on the day for Belhaven while competing as an individual. Anderson finished the opening round with a 79 (+7) and sits inside the top 20 overall.
Belhaven returns to the course tomorrow morning as they wrap up the Hal Sutton Invitational. Second round tee times are set to begin at 8:30 AM.
