ATLANTA, Ga. - Belhaven Women's Soccer players
Jenny Satcher and Julianne WIlson were tabbed CCS Players of the Week on Tuesday after impressive performances in two wins this past week.
Satcher was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week after continuing her strong debut campaign for Belhaven. The Hattiesburg, Miss. native scored a goal in all three of the Blazers' matches to help propel Belhaven to a perfect week. Satcher also added an assist to the stat sheet in Monday's record-setting win over Tougaloo.
Wilson was named the CCS Defensive Player of the Week after picking up a pair of CCS clean sheets for the Blazers. The junior keeper had a combined eight saves in wins over Huntingdon and Piedmont to push the Blazers to a 3-0 start in league play. On the season, Wilson has racked up 15 saves and two shutouts in seven starts.
