ATLANTA, Ga. - Kelsey Singleton of the Belhaven Track & Field team was named the Men's Track & Field Rookie of the Week for the Collegiate Conference of the South on Thursday.

The Flora, Mississippi native posted strong finishes in a trio of events as the Blazers hosted their home meet for the 2023 Outdoor Season. Singleton placed 3rd at the Belhaven Invitational in the 100 Meters with a time of 10.75 seconds. That mark also lands him among the Top 20 times in the Division III at this point of the outdoor season while also sitting atop the CCS.

Singleton also grabbed a Top 5 finish in the 200 Meters as he finished 4th with a time of 21.84 seconds which currently holds the 17th best mark in Division III and top spot among CCS competition. 

Rounding out his day, Singleton helped the Belhaven 4 x 100 Meters Relay team to a 3rd place finish with a time of 42.67 seconds. That mark currently ranks as the 6th best for 4 x 100 teams in Division III and also is currently the leading mark for the conference.

Singleton and the Belhaven Track & Field teams are back in action on Saturday, April 1st as they travel to Hattiesburg, Mississippi to compete in the Southern Miss Invitational.
