CLINTON, Miss. – The Belhaven University cross country teams competed in their season opener on Saturday morning in the Mississippi College Watson Invitational at Choctaw Trails. Teams from NCAA Division I, II, III, NAIA, and NJCAA competed in the Watson Invitational.
Head Coach
Butch Ard takes over the program after spending 18 years as Head Coach of the Mississippi College Choctaws.
On the women's side,
Francie LeDuff was the only Blazer to compete in the 6K registering a time of 29:01.40.
On the men's side, Garrett Masters crossed the finish line first for the Blazers with a time of 31:11.50, while Donnovan Hurst was the other competitor for the Blazers and he finished the 8K with a time of 32:10.0.
The Blazers will return to the course on Saturday, October 1 in the Huntingdon Invitational on the campus of Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Ala.
