RICHARDSON, Texas - Belhaven track and field athlete,
Kelton Kemp earns ASC Men's Track Player of the Week following his performance at the Mississippi College Outdoor Season Opener in Clinton, Miss. The Opener was composed of NCAA Division I,II,III, and JUCO athletes.
The senior etched his name in the school record book after recording two new school records in the 400h and the 110h. In the 400 hurdles, Kemp placed second out of 22 competitors with a time of 55.01.Â
The Hazlehurst, Miss. native also set a new school record in the 110 hurdles crossing the finish line at 16.14. The third event that kemp competed in at MC Outdoor Season Opener was the Men's 4x100 and crossed the finish line at the 42.96 mark.
Kemp and the rest of the Blazers will return to action on Friday, March 19 in Hattiesburg, Miss. for the Carey Outdoor Challenge.Â
