RICHARDSON, Texas - Belhaven Track athlete,
Kelton Kemp was named ASC Track Player of the Week following his performance at the Carey Outdoor Challenge on Saturday in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Kelton Kemp had a remarkable outing as he competed in the 110m hurdles, 400 hurdles, 4x100 relay, and 4x400 relay. In the 110m hurdles, he shattered his own school record with a time of 14.95, good enough for a third place finish.He also came in first place in the 400 hurdles out of 11 competitors with a time of 56.30.Â
Currently, Kemp is #1 in all of NCAA Division III in the 110 Hurdles after his finish at the Carey Outdoor Challenge. Additionally, he is #2 in the nation in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 55:01.
Kemp and the rest of the Blazers will return to action on March 26-27 for the Al Schmidt Bulldog Relays in Starkville, Miss. The Meet will be hosted by NCAA Division I Mississippi State University.
