JACKSON, Miss. - Lizbeth Eslava of the Belhaven Women's Soccer team has been named the C Spire Athlete of the Week for her on the field contributions last week including a two-goal performance in a 4-1 win over Sul Ross State. 

With the Blazers leading 1-0 early in the second half, Eslava doubled the Belhaven advantage with a goal. The Lobos answered to make Eslava's first goal the eventual winner and the forward would add an insurance goal less than two minutes later to secure the ASC win.

Eslava's brace brings her to three goals total on the season, third among the Blazers' leading goalscorers. 

Eslava and the Blazers are 6-3-1 on the season and 1-2-1 in conference play. They'll look to continue their season on Thursday when they host LeTourneau University at 5 PM inside the Belhaven Bowl Stadium.
