What are you currently doing professionally, and how did your time at Belhaven help prepare you for it?
"I am currently a social worker at an inpatient behavioral health hospital. Belhaven's social work program was exceptional. I knew social work was a field I wanted to pursue and the program played a key role in fostering and strengthening that passion."Â
Why did you choose Belhaven?
"I chose Belhaven because it just felt right from the beginning. I knew I wanted to continue playing soccer while staying close to home, and Belhaven gave me the opportunity to do both. After practicing with the team, I felt a genuine connection and knew I wanted to be part of what Belhaven stands for."
What is your favorite memory from your time as a Blazer?
"There are so many great memories. My favorite memory has to be my senior night, playing in the bowl under the lights. That game was a fight until the end and winning that game on such a special night felt like a movie."
What do you miss the most from your time at Belhaven?
"Being part of a team and playing soccer. It's hard to even put into words how much I miss spending so much time practicing and playing the best game with people who become your family."Â
How do you stay involved with the game of soccer today?
"Playing soccer with my babies! Watching my oldest baby getting to start his soccer journey fills my heart with joy."
Who is the best player you played with?
"Everyone I got the opportunity to play with was special and helped me become a better player but if I had to choose one I would say Jessica Mahoney. Jess was extremely talented, always worked hard and was the epitome of what it means to be a teammate. Her work ethic was unmatched. She made everyone better on and off the field."
