JACKSON, Miss. - After wrapping up the Senior Spotlights for the spring sports, we look to our fall student-athletes, and the impact they had on their respective Belhaven teams. Our next senior for women's soccer is,
Alex Trammel.
Trammel began her career with the Blazers in 2016. In her four years at Belhaven, the Madison, Mississippi native played in 70 career games with 69 career starts. Trammel accounted for two career goals, three career assists, and seven career points over her 7.744 minutes played from the midfielder and defense positions on the pitch. Trammel was also a three-time ASC Fall All-Academic Team honoree throughout her career.
In the 2019 season, Trammel played and started in all 20 games for the Blazers and accounted for one assist over 1,824 minutes played. Trammel was an essential member of the Blazers back defensive line as the team earned a postseason berth in the ASC Women's Soccer Tournament in their first season of eligibility. Trammel also earned NSCAA All-South Scholar-Athlete honors in 2019 as well as being named a Third Team ASC All-Conference member for the 2019 season. Trammel was one of five players on the squad to earn All-Conference honors, which was the most for the Blazers Women's Soccer team since having seven members find spots on the All-Conference teams as a part of the GCAC in 2009.
