JACKSON, Miss. - Due to the cancellation of the spring sports season, Belhaven is spotlighting our spring senior class over the next few weeks. Our first senior spotlight for Women's Track and Field is Norde Galloway.

The 2019-20 season was her best start as a Blazer. The Ocean Springs, Miss. native registered two top 10 finishes in the American Southwest Conference in the short season. 
 
Head Track and Field Coach LaRon Bennett said, "When I met Norde last year, she wanted two things: To throw a personal best in her event and to be apart of a family. At the time of her senior season ending short, she had PR'd in two events and is one of the most popular members of our family. She also holds one of the highest GPAs on the team. I'm proud to have watched Norde grow not only athletically and academically, but as a strong woman. She will definitely be an impact in this world."

Galloway posted a 27' 4" throw in the Shot Put; good enough for a 10th place finish in the ASC this season. She also earned a 6th place finish in the conference this season in the Weight Throw with a throw of 23' 3.5".
