CLINTON, Miss. - The Belhaven Cross Country teams both opened up their 2025 campaign on Friday at 'The Opener' hosted by Mississippi College at Choctaw Trails. 

On the Women's side of the action, the Blazers placed 10th among 13 teams. Ashley Davidson led the way for the Blazers as she placed 27th out of nearly 100 competitors with a time of 21:49.9. First year runner Jocelyn Belonga finished just a few minutes behind her teammate in her debut run for Belhaven.

For the Belhaven Men, Andrew Duckworth paced the way, landing a 52nd place finish among 137 individuals. Duckworth finished with a time of 17:49.3 and was closely followed by teammate Garrett Masters who ended just three places off Duckworth and just over six seconds later.

Next up for both the Belhaven Men and Women is a trip to the Rhodes Invitational in Memphis later this month.
