JACKSON, Miss. - Due to the cancellation of the spring sports season, Belhaven is spotlighting our spring senior class over the next few weeks. Our first senior spotlight for Men's Tennis is Grant Matherne.
 
Head Coach Daniel Prado said, "Grant came in as a freshman from Central Lafourche High School in Louisiana. After a knee surgery during his sophomore year, he worked hard to get back in the best possible shape. Matherne was nominated as a Player to Watch in the ASC this season and we consider him a doubles specialist."

The 2020 season was his best start to a season for the Raceland, La. native. The senior competed in every match this season and compiled a 3-3 record in singles play and earned a 3-3 record in doubles play.
