New Orleans, LA- The Belhaven men's and women's cross country teams ran in the Loyola University Wolfpack Invitational on Saturday morning. The Blazer women finished 7th out of 9 teams in the 5k dash logging a team time of 2:02:22.96. The Blazer men did not qualify for placement as a team. The host school Loyola University took first place on the women's side with a team time of 1:41:59.43 while on the men's side the Wolfpack also notched the top spot logging a time of 1:23:22.41.

For the Blazers, Sarah Storment crossed the finish line first in 37th place out of 71 runners with a time of 22:17.25. Sarah McCallister was six places behind Storment in 44th logging a time of 23:21.22. Sarah Rivera notched 55th placed followed by Jackie Bateman (59th), Chellese Hall (63th), and Seraphine Lin (66th).

Peter Davis was the top finisher for the Blazers crossing the line 30th out of 56 runners with a time of 17:54.63. Robert Ricks and Andrew Sinclair finished 46th and 47th with a time of 19:57.39 and 20:01.53 respectively. Nicolas Sheehan finished in 52nd position for Belhaven.

The Blazers will be at the University of Southern Mississippi Golden Eagle Invitational on September 23rd, in Hattiesburg, MS. The Blazer women take their mark at 4:20PM and the men at 4:50PM.
