NEW ORLEANS -
Neal Terry of the Belhaven Men's Track & Field team has been named an All-Region athlete in a pair of events by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) as announced by the organization earlier this month.
Terry earned All-South Region honors in both the Long Jump and Triple Jump resulting from the Mississippi native holding a top five distance in each event in the region. In the Triple Jump, Terry's best result came in the Belhaven Twilight meet in April where he posted a distance of 14.86 meters, a distance which ranks 10th in the country overall.
In the Long Jump, Terry posted a season best distance at the Belhaven Invitational back in March where he leaped 7.20 meters, a top 30 distance in Division III this season. This season, Terry also racked up three conference championships in the CCS, taking top spot in the Long Jump, Triple Jump as well as the High Jump. His dominant year in the conference earned him Men's Field Athlete of the Meet at the CCS Championships and the CCS Men's Overall Athlete of the Year
