DALTON, Ga. - The Belhaven Golf team began play at the Collegiate Conference of the South Championship on Monday, shooting a team-score of 315 to sit in 6th after the opening 18 holes.

Gannon Williams paced Belhaven with a 76 (+4) to sit in 11th overall after Monday's action. Ashton Anderson carded a 78 (+6) to finish the first day in 17th, while Andrew Scherer is the third Blazer in the Top-20 after firing a first-round 80 (+8) that included an eagle on the Par-4 15th.

Levi Turner finished a shot behind Scherer to sit in 25th among individuals, and fellow freshman John McIntosh rounded out the scorecard with an 83 (+11) on Monday.

The Blazers will begin the second round tomorrow with John McIntosh getting things started at 7:00 AM.
