ATLANTA - Belhaven Softball pitcher
Macy Funderburk was named the CCS Pitcher of the Week as announced by the league on Monday.
Funderburk continued her strong sophomore campaign with a dominant week in the circle for the Blazers. In the 3-1 win over No. 18 Calvin, She picked up the win in a complete-game performance, allowing just one run on five hits while striking out five. The West Monroe, Louisiana native punched out 13 across five innings of work in a doubleheader sweep of Wesleyan over the weekend.
On the season, Funderburk is 8-2 with a 2.88 ERA and five complete games while striking out 71 batters. She and her teammates return to action on Wednesday when they welcome Agnes Scott for a CCS doubleheader starting at 5:00 PM.
