JACKSON, Miss. - Julius Phillips (Crossett, Ark.) of the Belhaven Track & Field team and Grace Langston (Niceville, Fla.) of the Belhaven Softball team have been named the C Spire Athletes of the Week following their strong performances in competition for the Blazers from last Wednesday thru this past Tuesday.

Phillips, a sophomore sprinter, set two PR's this past weekend at the Belhaven Invitational, finishing the 100M in 10.89 seconds and the 200M in 22.28 seconds.

Langston, a junior outfielder, went 6-for-6 across four games last week to lead the Blazers to a 4-0 road trip against Agnes Scott and Wesleyan. She also drove in six runs while scoring six times.

Phillips and the Blazers Track team hosts their second meet of the season next week in the Blazers Midweek Open, while Langston and the Blazers Softball team heads to Covenant for a doubleheader on Saturday.
