SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Belhaven Golf team began the spring portion of their 2024-25 season on Monday and Tuesday, competing at the San Antonio Shootout hosted at TPC San Antonio.

Andrew Scherer led the way for the Green and Gold with three straight 80's on the scorecard to finish in 53rd overall. Gannon Williams finished the tournament at +34, highlighted by a 75 (+3) in Round 2. 

Ashton Anderson carded a +14, +10, +12 on the scorecard place third on the Belhaven leaderboard and 63rd overall. Freshman Levi Turner tallied a +39 in the three-round event, shooting the best individual round amongst Blazers in Round 2 with a 74 (+2). Wyatt Carter rounded out the Blazers' contingent with a total score of +41.

Belhaven returns to the course on March 3-4 for the Port City Classic. The tournament will be hosted at the Savannah Country Club.
