Season Preview: Mix of Veterans and Newcomers Lead Blazers into the Season

JACKSON - With just 48 hours before the Belhaven Women's Basketball team kicks off their 2025-26 season at the Millsaps Classic, the Blazers are primed to make their push towards their third consecutive conference championship game.

The Belhaven Women's Basketball team return a few familiar faces and welcome a bunch of new talent. Four of the team's six leading scorers return as seniors, including Savannah Hailey, Katelyn Coleman, Veronica Williams and Ny Jones.

The Blazers were picked to finish third in the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) Preseason Conference poll that was released by the league yesterday. The poll is led by defending CCS Champions Piedmont, closely followed by Asbury ranked second.
