JACKSON - Belhaven University proudly announced the 2025 Belhaven Athletics Hall of Fame Class on April 9th featuring five inductees. The inductees will be profiled with a look at how they impacted Belhaven Athletics and left their mark as Blazers. This year's honorees will be inducted into the Belhaven Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, October 25th as part of this year's Homecoming festivities.

2025 Hall of Fame Inductee: Lauren Biediger (Belhaven University, 2007-08)
Hailing from Houston, Texas, Lauren Biediger arrived at Belhaven as a proven junior-college transfer and left as one of the most prolific offensive hitters in Blazer softball history. Competing for the Blazers during the 2007 and 2008 seasons, she immediately made her presence felt-earning recognition on both conference and national levels.  

In 2007, Biediger was selected to the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC) All-Tournament team and helped lead the Blazers to an NAIA Region XIII Tournament appearance.
 
Her 2008 campaign was truly exceptional: she secured First Team All-Conference honors, was picked for the GCAC All-Tournament team, earned NAIA All-America status and NFCA First Team All-American recognition.   That season she batted at an elite clip (reported at .444) and slugged 15 home runs, anchoring a potent Belhaven offense.  

Biediger's outstanding achievements place her among the program's all-time leaders in batting average, home runs, slugging percentage and on-base percentage-a mark of her consistent impact and productivity.   Her time at Belhaven helped elevate the softball program to sustained competitiveness, including its NAIA regional appearances and national recognition.

Following her collegiate playing career, Lauren continued her deep involvement with the sport, including coaching at the collegiate level. Her ongoing commitment to the game reflects the same dedication and leadership she displayed as a student-athlete.

Lauren Biediger exemplifies the qualities of excellence, competitive drive and leadership that define the Blazer athletic tradition. It is with great honor that we induct her into the Belhaven Athletics Hall of Fame, celebrating both her outstanding achievements on the field and her enduring contribution to the sport.
