ROME, Ga. - The Belhaven University men's golf team continued their fall schedule this week with two rounds of competitive play at the Chick-fil-A Collegiate Invitational, hosted at Stonebridge Golf Club in Rome, Georgia. The Blazers finished 12th overall in a strong NCAA Division III field that featured several regionally-ranked programs.
Belhaven closed the 54-hole event with a team score of +57.
Leading the way for Belhaven was
Andrew Scherer, who carded a two-round total of +14, highlighted by a two-over 74 in the final round to place 31st overall.
Sophomore
Andrew Rogers followed close behind, finishing at +16, while
Gannon Williams posted +19 to round out the top three Blazer scorers.Â
Freshman
Levi Turner shot +29 over the two days, while
John McIntosh contributed a score of +29.
The Blazers have a few days off before hosting the Belhaven Invitational at The Refuge Golf Club in Flowood, Miss. next Monday and Tuesday.
