ATLANTA, Ga. -
Kelsey Singleton and
Alex Reed of the Belhaven Men's Track & Field program have been named among the Athletes of the Week for the Collegiate Conference of the South as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Kelsey Singleton earned the CCS Men's Track Athlete of the Week following a stellar weekend at the MC Spring Cleaning Classic hosted by Mississippi College in Clinton. Singleton took home top spot in the Men's 400 Meters with a program record time of 48.14 seconds. He added to his event win with a top five finish in the Men's 200 Meters.
Alex Reed was named the CCS Men's Field Rookie of the Week after a strong performance for the Blazers at the MC Spring Cleaning Classic. Reed took home 6th place in the Men's Long Jump against competition spanning the NCAA levels with a distance of 6.62 Meters.
Singleton, Reed and the Blazers return to outdoor action on March 23rd when they host the Belhaven Invitational at the Blazers' Track & Field Complex.
