ATLANTA - A trio of Belhaven Volleyball players were named to the Collegiate Conference of the South's All-Conference teams on Tuesday ahead of the opening round of the CCS Tournament.
Megan LaCour was named to the All-CCS First Team, the first All-Conference nod of her Belhaven career. The sophomore had a strong year for the Blazers, helping lead Belhaven to a top four seed in the CCS Tournament. LaCour posted a career-high 231 kills and a career-best .169 kill percentage while leading the Belhaven attack. LaCour also made an impact defensively with a career-high 245 digs and 26.0 total blocks.
Rylee White was named to the All-CCS Second Team, earning her first ever All-Conference honor. White had a career year defensively, leading the Blazers with 54.0 blocks including 12 solo blocks. White also tallied a career-high 53 digs to go along with 145 kills. The junior also recorded a career best 17 service aces in her strong campaign.
Emma Gardner was named to the All-CCS Sportsmanship Team in her senior campaign. Gardner was a veteran leader for the Blazers on and off the court in a season that saw her post a couple of career-best marks. Gardner finished the regular season with a career-high 174 kills as well as a career-high 27.0 total blocks.
The Blazers are set to host Huntingdon in the Quarterfinal Round of the CCS Tournament on Tuesday evening at Rugg Arena. The opening match of the tournament is set for 5:00 PM with the winner advancing to the CCS Semfinals.
