ATLANTA, Ga. - Benjamin Adams of the Belhaven Track & Field team was named the Men's Field Athlete of the Week for the Collegiate Conference of the South on Tuesday after his performance in the Javelin at the Southern Miss Invitational over the weekend.

Adams grabbed his third straight event win in the Men's Javelin at the meet in Hattiesburg taking top spot in the event with a distance of 48.88 meters. The event win comes off the back of taking top spot at the Belhaven University Invitational, the Blazers home event, and first in Javelin at the 2023 MC Spring Cleaning Classic. 

Adams best distance of the year came in Belhaven's home event at 50.27 meters which currently also ranks as the top distance among Collegiate Conference of the South competitors this season.

The three-time American Southwest Conference champion and the rest of the Belhaven Track & Field team are set to return to action on Saturday, April 15th as they travel to Memphis, Tennessee to compete in the Rhodes Lynx Invitational.
