MILLINGTON, Tenn. - The Belhaven Golf team posted an impressive 5th place finish at the Rhodes Spring Invitational on Monday thanks in large part to a strong final round that lifted the Blazers' team three spots in the leaderboard.
It was a trio of top-20 finishes the made the headlines for the Blazers as
Andrew Scherer,
Luke Couch and
Will Justice all put together impressive performances in the penultimate tournament of the spring. These three were joined by
Jake Shmonov, who finished inside the top-30, as the counting scores for the Blazers on the weekend.Â

In and around the top 15 among individuals all day, Scherer was able to post the top finish among the Blazers after a third round 78 (+6) put him +11 for the three rounds.
Luke Couch sat right behind Scherer on the individual leader board finishing 17th among individuals with a +12 across the three rounds. After a tough first day that saw Couch sitting +13, the Belhaven veteran bounced back with the Blazers best round of the tournament posting a 71 (-1) to make a dramatic push up the individual charts.Â
