ATLANTA, Ga. - After becoming Belhaven Softball's all-time leader in career RBIs,
Allie Gordon was named the Collegiate Conference of the South's Player of the Week, announced on Monday.
Gordon went 7-11 (.636) in four games this past week to help lead the Blazers to a 4-0 record. In Monday's 12-1 win over Agnes Scott, she went 2-2 with a triple, two RBIs, and two runs scored. In the opening game against Covenant on Saturday, Gordon recorded a three-hit day with two doubles, two RBIs, two runs scored, and a stolen base. She also made history as her RBI double in the 6th inning catapulted her to the top spot of the record books in career RBIs with 143.
In the second game of the doubleheader, Gordon hit a pair of solo home runs in the 1st and 3rd innings before recording her third RBI on a sacrifice fly in the 4th as Belhaven cruised to an 8-0 win.
On the season, Gordon is hitting .479 (35-73) with seven doubles, two triples, and three homers to go along with 22 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
Gordon and the Blazers are set to take on Huntingdon on Friday, March 31st in Montgomery, Ala. First pitch of the doubleheader is set for 12:00 PM.
