ATLANTA, Ga. – Xhiir Burgess of the Belhaven Women's Basketball team earned Collegiate Conference of the South Player of the Week honors after putting up dominant performances in two Belhaven wins over the past week.
 
Burgess was perfect from the field in Wednesday's 82-29 win over MUW, scoring 16 points on 8-of-8 shooting while also adding three steals. She followed that up Saturday with a 13-point, 11-rebound outing in the Blazers' 83-59 win over Covenant.
 
The talented senior forward has been outstanding for the Blazers this year, averaging just shy of a double-double at 13.7 points and 9.8 rebounds a game.
 
Burgess and her teammates take the floor next on Friday, February 10th as they travel to Montgomery to battle Huntingdon. Tipoff is set for 5 PM.
