INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Belhaven Football found themselves ranked 5th in the NCAA Region III Rankings released on Wednesday. Currently 8-1 on the season, the Blazers will play for a USA South title and a playoff bid this Saturday at home against Brevard.
 
Belhaven is putting together another banner year in 2023. The Blazers are outscoring opponents on average 38.7-10.7 in nine games this season. The eight wins also ties the program record for wins in a regular season, a record that was set just a season ago.
 
Both sides of the ball have been dominant this season for the Blazers as both are statistically atop the USA South. The Blazers' defense currently ranks 9th in all of Division III in scoring defense, allowing just 96 total points on the year. The Belhaven rushing attack sits 4th nationally with 287.6 yards per game.
