ROME, Ga. - The Belhaven Golf team began their last event of the fall schedule on Monday at the Chick-Fil-A Collegiate Invitational hosted by Berry College. The Blazers shot a first-round 315 to place 17th on the team leaderboard.

Luke Couch led Belhaven with his opening day 73 (+1), including five birdies for the Vestavia Hills native. Couch sits t-14th heading into Tuesday's final round. Ashton Anderson shot 78 (+6) in a consistent day from the junior.

Will Justice, Andrew Scherer, and Jake Shmonov all carded first-round 82s on the day and currently sit in a tie for 85th. Gannon Williams, playing as an individual, rounded out the Blazers' contingent after shooting 90 (+18) in his first round action.

Tomorrow's final round is set for a shotgun start at 8:00 AM as the Blazers will look to make a move up the leaderboard and finish the fall on a high note.
