JACKSON, Miss. - After wrapping up the Senior Spotlights for a spring sports, we look back on our fall student-athletes, and the impacts they had on their respective Belhaven teams. Our next football player to be recognized is Joey Walden.

Walden has played in 15 games for the Blazers across two seasons after transferring to Belhaven. The wide receiver from Oxford, Mississippi was one of the main catalysts for the Blazers offense over the past two seasons hauling in 50 receptions for 712 total yards. Walden also has four career touchdowns with Belhaven.

In 2018, Walden was a leader for the Belhaven air attack. On the year, Walden led the team in receptions (33), yards (519) and touchdowns (4) while averaging over 50 yards receiving per game.
