HOW IT HAPPENED
- Game one
- The Lobos jumped out in front quickly in the bottom of the second with three runs.
- The scoring started first with a double to right center for a 1-0 advantage.
- Moments later, SRSU connected on a triple which brought home two additional runs.
- The Blazers had great opportunities to take the lead in the fourth and fifth innings, but were held to just two runs total.
- Colton Fontana put the Blazers on the board in the top of the 4th with an RBI single to left field. Will Costinett crossed the plate to cut the deficit down to 3-1.
- In the fifth, Trip Benson's RBI single to right field made it a one run game at 3-2, after Evan Moore scored.
- Sul Ross would add two more runs of their own in the bottom of the fifth off of a double and a single to push their lead back out to three runs at 5-2.
- The Blazers went down in order in the sixth and seventh innings.

- Game two
- Sul Ross started off the second game with another early lead.
- The Lobos scored on an RBI single in the third inning and then scored another run off of a sacrifice fly in the fifth to lead 2-0.
- Belhaven was held scoreless through the first six innings of action.
- The Blazers got on the board in the top of the seventh off of an RBI fielder's choice from Reed Bolton, which allowed Will Costinett to score from third.
- However, SRSU would score seven runs in the next two innings of play to pull away.
- The Lobos scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh and then loaded up the bases and scored four in the eighth.
- Belhaven was limited to just six hits in the contest and also committed three errors.

KEY STATISTICS
- Game one
- Tyler Wolfe pitched 4.1 innings and struck out two batters.
- Offensively for the Green and Gold, Gasper D'Anna led the way with a team-high two hits.
- Colton Fontana and Trip Benson both notched 1-3 performances at the plate with an RBI apiece.
- The Blazers finished with eight hits as a team. Â

- Hunter Sanford got the start on the mound in game two. Sanford pitched six full innings and threw three strikeouts.
- Chase Birch and Steven Luizza each pitched one inning apiece in relief.
- Will Costinett finished 2-3 on the afternoon and also drew a walk.
- Trip Benson tallied a double, while going 1-4.
- Tyler Hollingsworth, Gasper D'Anna, and Kreg Garner each recorded one hit apiece.
